On my weight loss courses I’m often asked how to manage weight loss over the weekend if you have a restaurant meal, or a meal in someone’s house remember that you always have a level of control. In a friends house you may not have control over the actual food that’s served but you do have control over the amount of it you eat. If you find yourself saying “I have to eat dessert because she’ll be offended” that simply isn’t true. After all if you were a vegetarian would you suddenly eat meat so that your friend wouldn’t be upset? Of course not, and so it’s the same with any food that you’d like to not eat. Or ask yourself how offended would you be if a visitor left some food on their plate? Your weight loss is important to you and therefore it will be important also to your friend.
